Undergraduate Clinical Ultrasound Educator

The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks applicants for the position of Undergraduate Clinical Ultrasound Educator.

The Undergraduate Clinical Ultrasound Educator (UCUE)

The Department of Emergency Medicine has been given the task of creating, organizing, and orchestrating an integrated program of ultrasound education at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, PA. For this task, the Department of Emergency Medicine seeks applicants for the post of “Undergraduate Clinical Ultrasound Educator” (UCUE). UCUE candidates will be fellowship trained ! in bedside ultrasonography or have extensive experience in emergency bedside ultrasonography. It is anticipated that a successful candidate will not only be outstanding in emergency ultrasonography, in training of residents and fellows, but also be a passionate and dedicated teacher of medical students. Due to the significant educational responsibilities of the UCUE, as well as the academic priorities of our department and institution, the successful candidate is likely to have a demonstrated interest in education, a track record of pedagogic innovation, experience with multimedia and asynchronous learning material development, and an interest in research on ultrasound in medical education.
